Mario Tessier - Transparent

MIFO, following the guidance of Ottawa Public Health and the Government of Ontario, may postpone this show again if public health circumstances are considered unsafe.

After a first solo show that charmed the critics and was applauded by more than 100,000 people, Mario Tessier is back with a brand-new one-man show: Transparent. In this show, Mario drops all the social filters and taboos to explore with a surprising sense of self-mockery all the small daily gestures that we do or comply with in order not to displease others.

But if we knew what the future had in store and if everything were to stop tomorrow, would we still be as patient with others? Would we still be as attentive? Would we have the courage to say what we really think?

With the contagious energy for which he is so well known and his great story-telling abilities, Mario Tessier invites us to take part in a kind of collective therapy that is both hilarious and liberating, and in which he expresses his thoughts freely, without constraints. Both artist and audience will strive to be transparent and truthful... and laugh about it!
