Setu Bandhana Presentations' innaugural event Woven Journeys: A Concert of Silk Road Heritage Dances features classical dances from the Indian subcontinent as well as traditional dances from across the Silk Road with performances Stuti Mukherjee (Ottawa) and Paromita Kar (Toronto).
We also have a along unique Artist Talk-Back session and discussion about experiences of dance artists from a first-generation South Asian perspective in Canada, who are practicing these forms.
We welcome all, and the event is pay-what-you-can at the door, with a suggested donation of $20.
