Tara Luz Danse: Les bâtons

To mark its 20th anniversary, Tara Luz Danse presents Les bâtons, the work that has most shaped the company's artistic journey. This playful dance performance celebrates creativity and the power of imagination by drawing inspiration from Boomwhackers, colourful percussion tubes that instantly spark curiosity. Accompanied by live music and sounds performed on stage, the dancers transform these familiar objects in original and unexpected ways. In this dynamic and imaginative universe, movement and music come together in a blend of poetry, humour, and ingenuity.

Established at the Shenkman Arts Centre in Orléans, Tara Luz Danse is a francophone contemporary dance company that offers inspiring performances for children, youth and multi-generational audiences. The company's works have been presented in Ottawa and on tour, in young audiences and family series as well as school performances. The company also offers a variety of workshops and participatory projects that invite audiences to discover contemporary dance and to engage with the arts in original and unique ways.
