Matinée Café: Maple Leaf Horn Quartet featuring members of the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra
Enjoy an hour of live performance with coffee and treats after the show.
This incredible quartet features Guy Edrington, Nigel Bell, Cresta deGraaff, and Roberto Rivera—a dynamic ensemble whose shared passion for chamber music results in performances that are both artistically refined and deeply engaging.
The Maple Leaf Horn Quartet was originally formed over 25 years ago in Toronto, and debuted at the prestigious Roy Thomson Hall. Revived in Ottawa in 2017, the group now features four of the city’s top freelance horn players, launching a vibrant new chapter in its musical journey.
Renowned for their rich harmonies, expressive tone, and stylistic versatility, the quartet presents an eclectic repertoire ranging from classical masterworks to contemporary pieces and audience favourites. They have performed at distinguished venues including the Bytown Museum, Music and Beyond Festival, and Southminster United Church Recital Series. They regularly share their music with seniors through the Health Arts Society.
