Esmerine is a modern chamber ensemble co-founded by percussionist Bruce Cawdron (GY!BE) and cellist Rebecca Foon (Silver Mt. Zion, Saltland) in 2001 formed in Montreal. They can be found touring Canada and France with their unique sound that incorporates genres such as post rock, drone music, post punk, and Turkish folk.
Having released seven albums, the won a 2022 JUNO award instrumental album of the year for Everything was Forever Until it Was No More.
