Student Rush
Student Rush tickets are discounted tickets that are made available for secondary and/or post-secondary students who hold valid Student ID cards, available on the day of the performance, subject to availability.
Student Rush tickets are available only for participating events. To find out if Student Rush is available for the event you’re interested in, check the details of the event listing. Student Rush tickets must be picked up in person at the Shenkman Arts Centre Box Office the day of the show. Box Office hours are listed elsewhere on this page.

- Go to the box office and ask for an eyeGO ticket

What is eyeGO to the Arts?
eyeGO is a program that is designed to encourage secondary school students to attend performances in the arts, such as theatre, music, dance, film etc. Upon presentation of suitable ID, they can purchase tickets for $5.
How can I find out about show listings and times?
The easiest way is to go to the eyeGO web site at www.eyego.org, or if you have heard about a show that you would like to see phone the box office to find out if it is an eyeGO show. You can also look at the pricing on the description of the event you are interested in on the Calendar.
If I buy an eyeGO ticket will I have bad seats?
No. eyeGO tickets are sold on a best available basis. If you buy your tickets early enough you could have the best seats in the house!
How can I buy tickets?
Visit the box office in person to buy an eyeGO ticket. Be sure to bring your student card with you.
Can I buy tickets for friends?
You can, but the tickets will not be released until they arrive and show the box office their high school student cards.
What if I don’t have a student card?
No problem! Just ask a teacher at your school to send eyeGO to the Arts a letter on school letterhead stating that you are enrolled for the current school year. eyeGO to the Arts will send you a card you can show in place of a student card. You must also have a secondary form of ID.
Do I have to get dressed up to go to an eyeGO to the Arts performance?
No. Clothes that are appropriate at school are also fine for a performance. You will see people dressed casually sitting beside people who have dressed up.
Will I be guaranteed an eyeGO ticket if I ask for one?
No. There are only a certain number of seats made available for eyeGO tickets for each show. However, the box office is not obligated to hold those tickets for eyeGO students, so if the show is selling well with adult audiences then those seats may be sold. Bottom line – if you want an eyeGO ticket you have to get it before the show sells out.
Is there a limit to how many tickets I can buy?
No. You are permitted to buy one ticket for yourself, for as many performances as you want.
As a parent, if I have a child who is not yet in high school, can I purchase an eyeGO ticket for them?
No. This program is designed to encourage secondary school students to choose to see performances as a form of recreation. It is based on the student making an independent decision to see performances and therefore is not appropriate for younger children. In addition, the student must present ID to purchase the ticket. The parent can not do this on their behalf.
