OMIC on Stage

Presented by: Ottawa Music Industry Coalition

Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 7 pm

OMIC is heading east to present the first ever OMIC on Stage gala event. Featuring the talents of nationally acclaimed funk/soul/hip-hop fusion artist YAO, indie-pop dynamos Pony Girl and Catriona Sturton, OMIC on Stage is a reflection of the vibrancy and diversity of Ottawa’s local music scenes.

From different genres and linguistic communities, these three artists are all recent alumni of the 2017 Live Production Residency program developed by OMIC in partnership with the production team at Shenkman Arts Centre. Selected by a jury of music industry experts as the next generation of export-ready local talent, they have been gracing local stages at the National Arts Centre, RBC Ottawa Bluesfest and TD Ottawa Jazz Fest, increasing awareness of the tremendous talent we have right here in Ottawa and the surrounding communities.
