Paris, 1936. In a stylish suite at the Ritz, producer Henri Beaudet (Martin Drainville) is putting the final touches on what promises to be the “Show of the Century”! Beaudet has the help of his long-standing assistant, son-in-law and “accidental great tenor” Max (Benoît Brière). But asking three great tenors—and three big egos—to share the same stage remains a decidedly risky endeavour!

As the moment of truth approaches, storm clouds gather in the form of Tito Merelli (Luc Guérin), the famous and tumultuous Italian tenor, and his wife Maria (Marie-France Lambert). Their stormy relationship manages to produce a scene worthy of the best tragic operas!

Tensions are further inflamed by the presence of the young tenor Carlo Nucci (Carl Poliquin), the new international darling who has unintentionally become Tito’s rival. Moreover, Carlo is having a secret affair with Mimi (Nathalie Doummar), the only daughter of the effervescent Italian tenor. To top it all off, one of Tito’s old mistresses, the irresistible Russian soprano Tatiana (Catherine Sénart), enters the fray, along with a bellboy named Beppo.

All these ingredients combine to make an explosive cocktail of slamming doors, thwarted seductions and misunderstandings, giving new meaning to the expression “The show must go on!”
