Soothe into the famously smokey voice of one of Canada’s greatest jazz vocalists, the incredible Molly Johnson. A tour-de-force, Johnson has performed to sold-out halls throughout Canada and the world, including performances for icons like the Prince and late Princess of Wales, as well as Nelson Mandela and legendary producer and trumpeter Quincy Jones. A Juno award-winning musician, Molly has been awarded the Queen’s Jubilee medal, and in 2008, was honoured with becoming an Officer of The Order Of Canada. This rare distinction was given to Molly to recognize her philanthropic work for a variety of causes and for her international contributions to the arts.

An entertainer all her life, Johnson was cast by Ed Mirvish in a production of Porgy and Bess at age 4, attended the National Ballet School with Karen Kain and in 1979 formed the electric funk-rock group Alta Moda with Norman Orenstein. Johnson’s first jazz-pop release Molly Johnson in 2000 garnered her international critical acclaim, catapulting her career as a singer-songwriter, artist and philanthropist.
